In Honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was really a gift to the world. Not just for African Americans, but for everyone. In honor of his day, here are some things he said that I think are powerful and that we should all live by.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.


Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.



The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.



We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.
